Our program runs on two campuses: Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC) and Georgetown Downtown (GTDT). Accepted students choose which campus is best suited to them when they make their deposit.
The same outstanding medical and graduate curriculum is provided at both locations, but at the GTDT campus we can now offer even more academic support, and opportunities for structured clinical and volunteer experiences.
Lecture capture is the main delivery mode for the medical courses at GTDT, though many professors give their lectures at GTDT. The GTDT campus features primarily flipped sessions and active learning: Students study in a self-directed fashion, then attend class sessions to integrate and apply the concepts. This organized structure allows the students to have time for the hands-on Biomedical Career Explorations course. GUMC offers some flipped learning.
